Stoffrest

Nachdem ich im Mai fast alle Projekte geschafft habe, die ich schaffen wollte, konnte ich es nicht lassen mir Stoff für zwei neue zuzuschneiden. After I finished almost all items which I wanted to do in May, I cut material for two new projects. Zum Einen brauchte ich ein neues Liesel-Projekt. Eine Idee fand ich in der französischen Gilde Zeitschrift " Les Nouvelles ", die mir ausgeliehen wurde. Im Heft No 130 ist eine Anleitung für ein Sonnenblumenfeld. Dieser Quilt gefällt mir so gut, dass ich ihn in kleiner nähen möchte. Erst einmal werde ich eine Blüte nähen. Wenn es mir Spaß macht, plane ich 5 Blüten (im Original sind es 48 Blöcke). Im Februar begonnen und dann war irgendwie die Luft raus. Ich hatte im Februar angefangen diese Paddington Babydecke zu nähen. die Stoffe habe ich vor Jahren gekauf, als ich dachte, ich würde meinen Nichten und Neffen, die damals noch nicht geboren waren daraus Babydecken nähen. Mittlerweile sind die ältesten 6 Jahre alt. Im Februar beschloß ich jetzt endlich meinen Schrank etwas zu leeren und begann die Blöcke zu nähen. Das Top war schnell genäht. Der Kuschelfließ war auch bald da. Und dann hatte ich schon wieder andere Projekte im Kopf. Nun ist sie endlich fertig. Ich weiß noch nicht wer sie bekommen soll. Rechtzeitig zum Maitreffen habe ich die MugRugs für den Patchwork-Treff Berlin-Brandenburg fertiggestellt. Zwei sind eine Spende an die Ufa-Fabrik. Just in time for the meeting, I finished the MugRugs for the Patchwork-Treff Berlin-Brandenburg. Two of them are a donation to the Ufa-Fabrik.

Bei Müllerin Art ist diesen Monat Drucken mit Bändern, Fäden, Wolle, Seil, Kordeln und Knoten angesagt. Letzten Mittwoch hat sie Beispiele zum Stempeln mit Gummibändern gezeigt. Das wollte ich - und habe ich ausprobiert. This month the task at Müllerin Art  is printing with ribbons, threads, wool, rope, cords and knots. Zuerst habe ich in der Transphertechnik mit Acrylgrundmasse die Buchseiten auf Organza und rechts auf Baumwolle übertragen. Danach habe ich mit einem Gummibandstempel die Streifen darauf gerollt. Gerollt, da ich die Gummibänder um ein kleines Glas gewickelt hatte. Das ganze sieht im Moment noch recht wild aus. In den letzten Wochen habe ich neue Schnitte ausprobiert. Und da kann schon mal das Eine oder Andere schief gehen. In the recent weeks I tried out new cuts. Here we go. Das erste ist ein T-Shirt aus der Ottobre 2/2017: At the first photo you see a T-Shirt of  Ottobre 2/2017: Leider ist der Ausschnitt für mich viel zu groß. Deshalb habe ich einen bunten Stoff hinter den Ausschnitt und in die Ärmel genäht. So kann ich es tragen und es hat zudem eine witzige Note. Das nächste T-Shirt ist bereits zugeschnitten, allerdings mit viel kleinerem Halsausschnitt. Es ist jedoch noch nicht ganz fertig. Unfortunately the neckline is too wide for me. To close it I sewed some colorful material inside the T-Shirt. In addition I put some into the sleeves. Was letztes Jahr die Sterne waren, sind dieses Jahr die Flamingos. Überall tauchen sie auf: Auf Stoffen, auf Servietten, auf Pullovern, auf Bettwäsche... Als ich die Theme für die Inchies zusammengestellte, wusste ich noch nichts davon. Voll im Trend, diese Woche: das Inchie " Flamingo ". Last year you could buy everything with stars this year there are the flamingos. Everywhere they dive: on fabrics, on napkins, on sweaters, on bed linen ... When I made the list for the Inchies I didn't knew about that yet. Fully in line: this weeks inchi e " flamingo ".
